I was inspired to paint this young man because of his chiseled jawline and his thick head of hair. I also liked his thick, puffy, kissable lips. He looks a little bit like an artist I like named Andrew Salgado.
This is painted on a hard wood panel that is cradled in the back. The color was designed with the idea of a cool warm color relationship. THe blue in the background s designed to recede while his warm flesh tones project forward.
